Steptember Challenge
The team at Shhh Silk walked a combined 1,650,000 steps for the month of September raising funds for Cerebral Palsy. Shhh Silk donated $2,154 to the Steptember charity on behalf of our team. Shout out to our warehouse team member Jenny who walked the most steps and reached her personal target of 300,000 steps first. Another special mention to our operations Manager, Georgia for walking the most steps in one day, over 40,000. Thank you to the team for your amazing team work towards this important cause.

Donation to Beyond Blue For Mental Health
For Mental Health Awareness Month we donated $5 for every blue product sold in May to Beyond Blue. Beyond Blue has been providing support and services to those affected by depression, anxiety and suicide. In total, we donated $475.

Donation to Everytown in support of advocacy for gun laws
14 children and 1 teacher were tragically killed in response to a mass shooting today at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas. Every day, more than 110 Americans are killed with guns. Our donation helps Everytown to work to prevent gun violence and save lives. Everytown works to pressure lawmakers to improve our gun laws and educate the public about common-sense gun laws and responsible gun ownership.

Donation to Fitted For Work
Fitted For Work helps women experiencing disadvantage to get work, keep work and navigate their world of work. We donate clothes and silk scrunchies to be given to women through their outfitting service.

Planted 1,160 Trees For Earth Day
We planted 20 trees for every order placed on Earth Day. This was achieved through the organisation, Trees For The Future, who plant these trees with farmers across the sub-Saharan Africa.

We donated to The Good Friday Appeal to raise money for the Royal Children's Hospital. Our donation contributed to the record-breaking total of $22,328,154 raised.

Donation for victims of the NSW and QLD floods
Residents of New South Wales and Queensland are facing catastrophic flooding. Lives have been lost and tens of thousands of people have been evacuated from their homes. With many properties and belongings now destroyed, donations and volunteers are desperately needed for the recovery effort. We’ve donated doona’s, pillows, towels, combs, brushes and Shhh Silk pillowcases for 15 families.

The 6 Minute Challenge raises awareness around the need for positive mental health.The 6 minute challenge symbolically states that mental health comes first and that each person should look after their mental health as number 1 priority.

Help For A Single Mum Navigating Cancer Treatment
We donated $1250 to Karyn and her newborn baby Billi. At 29 weeks pregnant, Karyn was rushed to hospital for an emergency cesarean and diagnosed with Stage 4 Breast Cancer that had spread to her liver, bones and optic nerve. This money helps to support Karyn as she undertakes chemo and looks after a tiny, premi baby. Random Act Of Kindness - We Paid 1 Month Lease For A Local Gym
We supported a local gym in our area in Cheltenham, Melbourne in July and surprised them by paying their lease for the 4 weeks they were shut during lockdown. The fitness industry is one of many industries to face financial hardship due to lockdowns and we wanted to show our community champions spirit with this random act of kindness.

We've been donating to the Australian College Of Nursing since 2020. In March we were so proud to donate 524 beauty fridges to the Australian College of Nursing to thank nurses across the country. Totalling $114,756 RRP of stock, this was our biggest donation yet.

By far our biggest give back in the history of the brand. We manufactured 1,000 x 10L beauty fridges (RRP $219 each) to gift to our customers with every set of pillowcases purchased in Australia for a limited time.

In October when Victorian secondary schools reopened we donated $7,000 RRP of silk face mask coverings to students.

Thanking Aged Care Workers During Covid-19
We donated an 18 piece outdoor lounge and dining setting to Japara aged care in Windsor , Victoria one of the aged care facilities affected with active covid cases and where our founder's father Jim (pictured) lives with Dementia, to allow staff and residents to enjoy some much needed fresh air and outdoor relaxation.

Supporting Health Care Workers During Covid-19
To show our ongoing support to frontline workers in 2020 we donated eye masks to healthcare workers at Bronx Care Hospital, donated over 400 care products to nursing staff all around Australia through the Australian College of Nursing, and we gifted frontline workers with 50% off all Shhh Silk products. We also donated Olive Oil cakes through Little House Confections & Fuelling The Fearless in LA for hospital staff hospital staff to enjoy.

Haiti Hospital
Shhh Silk contributed funds to open a closed hospital in Haiti and restore access to medical assistance.

Orphans In Tigray
Over 2 years we helped over a thousand orphans in Tigray in their education by providing school books and supplies. During this time we also contributed to the building of a library for students in Tigray.
