Since October, wildfires have scorched through our beautiful country. Our hearts go out to all those affected by the destruction of the bushfires to communities, homes and wildlife. The devastation from the fires is far from over. In these hard times, it is important to band together as a community to help bring an end to this devastation.
What we are doing to help?
For the month of January, we will be donating $10 from every Glow Recipe x Shhh Silk set and 2-Pack silk pillowcases sold to @wwf_australia.
We have also set up a fundraising page to help raise much-needed funds for the trees and animals lost during our devastating bushfires. Even $1 makes a huge difference, or forfeit your coffee today and donate $5. Click the following link to get involved:

How to help without money?
Water For Animals
One of the simplest things you can do during this time is leaving out water for wildlife. Leave containers of water in a cool, shaded area.
Donate blood
The Red Cross has called for Australians to donate blood. Blood donor centres have been forced to close across NSW and Queensland due to the fires. If you are eligible to donate blood and have a spare hour, donating blood is a great way to show your support.

Donate Goods
The following charities are collecting goods to assist in the aid and recovery of the fire’s victims. Be sure to carefully read the items they are requesting.
Volunteer
Food Bank relies heavily on teams and individuals who generously give their time to help us get food to the people who need it. They have centres in all states where you can help out.

Blaze Aid is also a great organisation to get involved in. Help rebuild fences and other damaged structures on farms from the fires.
Support Local Businesses
Even after the fires have subsided, the struggles will continue for local businesses. Turia Pitt has created @spendwiththem “a place to feature businesses in fire-affected towns. So, if you want to buy something (now, or in the future), check out @spendwiththem and buy something from one of these places.”
Spread The Word
Continue to spread the news of the fires. Share links of where to donate and encourage others to help the cause.
We are so humbled by the support and generosity given from all around the world. Thank you to everyone who has already helped to bring our beautiful country back on its feet.
